A small gem of seaside architecture – a few steps from the sea.
Since 1906, Hotel Residenz Waldkrone has been part of the Baltic resort of Kühlungsborn. Our listed main building and the adjoining apartment house with lift, spa and beauty area are located in Kühlungsborn West, right at the start of the beach promenade.
We are a family-run 4-star house with individually furnished rooms, suites and apartments – from single rooms to tower suites with sea view. Breakfast in the conservatory in the morning, sunset on the beach in the evening.

How far is the hotel from the beach?
Less than 100 metres. Hotel Residenz Waldkrone is located in Kühlungsborn West right at the start of the approx. 4 km long beach promenade – the fine sandy beach is just a few steps away.
Does the hotel have a lift?
Partly. The apartment house (including apartments and the north-tower suite) has a lift. The listed main building with single and double rooms, junior suites and suites can only be reached via the staircase.
Do you have rooms for 4 people?
Yes. The apartments (sea view and garden side, approx. 38 m²) have a separate bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area and sleep up to four. Family rooms with a connecting door can also be booked.
Can I charge my electric car?
Yes. An 11 kW Mennekes wallbox is available in the hotel car park (charges apply). Direct bookers with a fully electric vehicle receive 20 kWh free with their first charge.
Are dogs and pets allowed?
No. Pets and dogs are not permitted in the hotel rooms, apartments or the restaurant.
